Trivializing women has become Barack’s specialty. That’s regressive, not progressive. Here’s a message to Barack, delivered in his fake Southern accent:
“Sweetie – you better lay off callin' women sweetie and pig or we wimmin’ are goin’ to start callin’ you ‘boy’."
Thing is - blacks in this country worked for decades to be treated with respect and for black men not to be denigrated as 'boy." But then blacks turned out in the 90th percentiles to vote for a man who calls women "sweetie." Barack had blacks believing that Bill and Hillary Clinton - two people who actually had a record of acting for civil rights for men and women - were racists, freeing up the path for his bigoted sexism to march on. (And if Barack has ever actually done anything in his life for civil rights, I'd love to hear about it. And that doesn't include signing on to other people's bills - it means authoring bills and taking the lead in harnessing their passage. It means taking a stand, not voting "present.")
Barack is a very negative, polarizing figure who nearly wrecked the democratic party. Will we allow him to similarly wreck the nation?
Note: If you Google "Obama sexism" my piece "Obama's Sexism Strategy Rivals Nixon's Southern Strategy" ranks first. I receive hits to that article from all over the world daily and it's even been You-Tubed.
Obama is a lawyer. Lawyers are obsessed with language. He just happened to use an expression that involved "lipstick" and "pig" and he doesn't understand how this is going to be interpreted? Days after Palin's famous lipstick joke? Come on!
